My Ten Favorites Quest in Taking Google Application to the Next Level
1. Interactive Vocabulary Book application
can be described as making vocabulary words become alive. This is a creative way of teaching
vocabulary. Displaying picture and
interactive image makes the students visualize the image enable them to understand
the meaning.
2. HelloSign - Can be used for a parents completing a permission slip form for their son or daughter going of a field trip. This would be considered eco-friendly (saving paper). This eliminate the time of asking students to return parent’s permission slips.

5. Google
Tone- Teachers often get frustrated
sometime when they give detail instructions on how to access a Web-site and
there is usually students that can’t get it.
Tone takes away the detail
instructions. The teacher just have to
ensure the extension is install on all the computer. This is an excellent tool for teaching. If I am a teaching English an want the
student to read a article I just have to
use Tone to share the URL.
6. Schedule Calendar Events with Boomerang
- Application allows users to save time.
For example, users no longer have to send email to invitees announcing the
meeting and suggesting time. Boomerang Calendar
allows individuals to select time within
minutes and it will schedule the invite.
7. Self-graded
Quizzes in Google Forms - This can be a plus for teachers the automatic
grading is a plus. This can be used as a
refresher after a lesson is completed.
This can be a pre/post for
students. Administer at the beginning of
a lesson and at the end of lesson.
8. 8. Create a YouTube Playlist – Excellent activity
for students to create a Youtube Playlist.
9. Learning Padlet - Allows students to create an interactive
virtual tour. Can use Google Tour Builder.
10Exploring Google Earth - Used GoogleEarth to displayed pictured of the Holocaust. This is for a history class. Important to show a visual location of the Holocaust. The learner visualized the location of the event and suffering in Germany by Hitler. Holocaust
